Why a guy in the middle of a legal dispute over a $500 auction auction was able to win a new Porsche 3.0 sports car

In a bid to boost his collection, Steve Smith auctioned off the original Porsche 3, which he bought in 2003, for $500 at a Porsche auction house in Ontario.

Smith was also able to get the car from a former owner who had it for sale in 2014.

The auction house did not return a call for comment.

The car is now owned by Steve Smith and his wife, and is being used for the family’s “grit” as a hobby.

Smith’s auction house said it had been “unable to sell the car as the auctioneer was unwilling to allow the car to be sold to the highest bidder,” The Associated Press reported.

Smith and a man who was auctioning the car told CBC News they were unaware of the legal dispute.

Smith told the AP he had never even been contacted by the buyer.

The auction house declined to comment.
